THE CHALICE LIGHTERS

We are the chalice-lighters
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Seeking for more igniters
Till light from the chalice streams.
Our task is not to be fighters
Whose fanatical red eye gleam
But rather to be inciters
Of those who would sow their seams.
With heartening small group searchers
We build up our foundering churches,
And out of a dying story
We fashion a future glory.
One voice with support and training
Shall go forth to encourage and glow
,And there where the strength is waning
Can plant seeds, and watch them grow.
We, with a joyful greeting
And a new-found sense of worth,
Can bring others to share our meeting,
Our fellowship, and our mirth,
And spread far and wide our feeling
That this movement has much to give.
Each one can find inner healing
Unitarian ideals must live.
